    Team FITBODY’s Debbie LeMasters, grandmother of 2 and Masters Figure Champions, realizes her dream of competing just before she turns 50!  Hard work, determination and a lifetime love of fitness make it possible.

    I am a 49 yr old mom of 2 with 2 grandchildren.  I am married to Jeff who is my biggest fan and supporter.  Registered Nurse & Emergency Medical Responder.

    Growing up as a child I remember my mom fixing everything fried, Fried Chicken, Fried Pork Chops, Fried Potatoes & gravy you name it, it was fried or processed big time artery clogging meals.  Everything in Crisco or a stick of butter.  At age 17 I started working at Elaine Powers’s teaching 5-6 classes a day. I was inspired by OMG Jane Fonda. I really got the fever when I flew out to Pepperdine University Malibu California to meet 6 X Ms. Olympia Cory Everson and attend her fitness camp. I left that weekend on fire for health & fitness. And from there my passion has continued to grow each day. I became obsessed in a good way.  Anyone who knows me knows my day isn’t complete unless I have worked out.  I now love encouraging, uplifting and motivating women to be all they dream to be. Sure it’s hard work and takes dedication, determination & focus but the results are so worth it in the end. Fitness and eating clean is a life style change.  My motto is Stick & Stay.  Keep working towards your goals and I will see you at the top and hopefully on stage.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    I lost a total of 14 lbs and am down 10% body fat.  I always had the goal of competing by the time I turned “50” I competed for the first time at age 49 ½ in Masters Figure and won!

    I have been training and into fitness my whole life.  I would do cardio for hours expecting results.  Talk about insanity! I would lose weight but would have no muscle.  It was like a double edge sword.  I could never attain one without losing the other.   Then I heard about Julie Lohre through a friend and decided to use her Online Personal Training Program  back in March 2014. What a blessing to be down 14 lbs, 10% body fat and to look and feel fabulous!

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    Seeing how my body can change. With Julie Lohre and the Team Fitbody program she design specifically for my needs I learn how to choose the right foods & exercises that worked to get the physique that I wanted.  I use to do tons of cardio, now it’s less cardio, more weight, equals huge results. Taking progress photos and seeing my hard work pay off. I also kept visualizing the way I didn’t want to look as well as the way I did want to look.

    What are your fitness goals?

    Continuing my journey of staying healthy, fit & stage ready. While focusing on building more muscle, wider lats and keeping body fat to a minimum.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    Being a fierce competitor in 2015.  Seeing how my body continues to change each day.  Feeling great & having more energy.  I love it when people say, “You don’t look like your about to be 50” (smile)

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Julie’s knowledge and motivation to inspire women. Julie was always there to encourage me not to lose hope when I was ready to quit.  She just kept saying I had to trust her and the process.  It worked!  I look better and feel better than I have in my entire life.  I couldn’t have done it without her!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    Living outside of my home town.  It was a little extra expense to travel but in the end it was so worth it.  Getting together with the other ladies on the FitBody team was inspiring; there was no drama between with any of us each one of us wanted to see each other succeed.  We motivated and encourage each other as a team.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    I don’t look at foods being diet foods.  I look at them as being healthy foods but if I had to pick, it would be Sweet Potato Protein (UMP) pancakes. YUM!!!!

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    I love the Beverly International line.  Don’t be afraid of supplements you just need to take the correct ones with the guidance of a professional.  They work great in conjunction with clean eating and weight training.
