    Personal Information

    I am a wife, a fur momma to a Great Pyrenees and a German Shepard mix, and a dental hygiene student. I currently live in central KY for school and drive home to western KY every weekend to see my husband, which makes training for a competition nearly impossible. But when I am at home and not busy I enjoy four-wheeler riding, hunting, vegetable gardening, cooking, and of course going to the gym.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    I have ran a few 5K races one of which I won fastest person in my age group, and I just recently competed in my first NPC bikini division competition!


    I did the online contest prep training program with Julie for 8 weeks and made huge progress. I went from 21% body fat to 16%, from 125ish to 120, and lost nearly 9 total inches!!! I also finally accomplished my goal of competing in an NPC Bikini competition and loved it! I may not have won or even placed in the top 5 but I was still very happy with my overall progress and change in my body. This process helped me realize that I really can do things if I set my mind to it and it also helped me appreciate my body (which is a very hard thing for me to do). I would say the thing that helped me through the process the most was connecting with girls at the mock completion of Julie’s I attended. I exchanged numbers with a lot of girls and we would motivate each other through texts and Facebook posts.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    I enjoy fitness because it makes me feel better about myself.  I have always struggled with body image and keeping my body in a good condition really helps me feel better about it.

    What are your fitness goals?

    I would like to continue competing in Bikini Competitions but I have decided to post-pone any further competitions until I graduate because it was very hard to devote the proper amount of time to both the training and my schoolwork. My husband has also decided to compete in an NPC competition after being motivated from my journey so we are planning on competing together after my graduation. 🙂

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    Just knowing that it is good for my body and my overall health. Plus the results are pretty nice too!

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Julie is there for you anytime! Bad days, good days, and even worse days, she’s always there. She will try to uplift you, give you tips, and give you any advice she has. I know everyone says this but I honestly could not have done it without her.

    I love the friendships you form with Julie and her FITBODY Contest Prep Team!  I’m a typical girl who likes to talk, so making friendships with other girls who were in the fitness world really helped me talk through my frustrations and press on to the end!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    Dark Chocolate Almond Butter for sure!!!!

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    If you’re thinking about joining Julie’s FITBODY Contest Prep Team but are iffy about it….JUST DO IT!! I wanted to do it but couldn’t attend the meetings on Saturdays. However if I ever train again I will definitely join the team just to have that added support within the team meetings.
