    Personal Information

    Started working out with cardio classes to get my high cholesterol in check and to lose the baby weight I gained.  After getting started I became addicted!  I lost the weight by eating better and working out 4 days a week.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    At age 52 and my third competition placing 4th in the Open and 2nd in the 45+ at Music City Muscle.

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    Before working through Julie, my workouts were a hard lesson in over training…I was spinning my wheels thinking if I work as hard as I was I would increase muscle mass but in fact I was burning up what muscle I was gaining by not giving proper rest time between sets AND the work out itself!!  I was so mad at myself!!  During Julie’s 8 week program I learned you have to break up the work outs so what muscle groups your working can rest in between the next work out AND properly fuel your body with healthy protein sources in order to feed your muscles while at rest.  This is the most important key to all successful lifestyle changes whether you’re competing or not! 

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    The good feelings you have after a work out. Knowing that hard work is making you the be the best you can be. Knowing it will but benefit your body and soul!  Also, the hopes that others will be inspired to change their lifestyle to gain a healthier body and mind.

    What are your fitness goals?

    To continue to improve my own fitness level.  I never want to be idle…always in motion unless I’m resting my bod!! I hope by competing I will inspire the competition world to open up more age groups in the bikini and figure divisions…there are a lot of us older competitors who have something to bring to the stage!  Offer it and we will arrive!!

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    My family has a history of heart problems and most had an unhealthy lifestyle.  There’s MY motivation…we never know what will happen the next minute but being healthy and fit will increase my odds to be here as long as possible and feel good every minute!  Who doesn’t want that???

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Oh my gosh…where do I start??  Julie is a true inspiration!  Look at her history of success in her competition career as well as her success in the training and nutrition programs!  She has an impeccable reputation.  She is ALWAYS there for you!  You have questions or concern?  BAM! She is on it!!  She truly cares about YOU!  You will not find another person who has a better heart and spirit than Julie!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    I….can’t….think….of….one….word!!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    During training…protein pancakes and protein pudding made with Beverly International Ump.  Competition weekend…GOO!! Also made with Beverly International UMP!
