    Personal Information

    I am a student of Oriental Medicine (acupuncture).  Health and wellness is very important to me.  I’ve been wanting to compete for a very long time and only recently competed in my first show.  I am addicted and want to continue!  I am married to a wonderful and supportive man.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    Competing in the NPC Ft. Lauderdale Cup; also just getting to the place where I feel comfortable to compete.  I look and feel so much stronger – physically and mentally!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    While my weight didn’t change, I lost inches off my waist, and well as tightened up.  I would get frustrated not seeing the scale change or measurements change,  so I started posting my Day One photo and the most updated photo side by side on my fridge.  Even though the scale didn’t show changes, and I couldn’t visualize it in the mirror, the camera didn’t lie.  And that kept me motivated.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    Pushing my own limits.  Adding an extra 5 lbs, or trying the next dumbbell up just to see how many reps I can get.  Even if I could only do half a set with the higher weight, I kept trying each time, and in time that would be my new start weight.

    What are your fitness goals?

    To continue to compete in shows, and place!

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    My own health, but I would like to be an example to friends and family, that anyone can get healthy and fit … even those with a sweet tooth 🙂

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Her encouragement and quick respond to questions.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    Early on, I was craving P.F. Chang’s tofu lettuce wraps, so I figured I could make my own cleaner version. I used half serving of oil and soy and A TON of veggies and tofu. It was more like a veggie lettuce wrap, and
    a nice break from fish.
