    Personal Information

    I am 28 years old! I am a product manager and also a part time spinning instructor. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    I have competed in one contest at the 10 week of training mark and I will also compete at my 12 week mark! The fact that I got on stage with so many beautiful, strong, and fit women is an accomplishment! It was AWESOME!! My biggest accomplishment is losing about 12% body fat in those 10 weeks!  Also, realizing I do like vegetables and a variety of other healthy foods!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    I started training and competed in my first NPC show at 10 weeks in. I am 5’9 and started this journey at 162 lbs. I was about 25% body fat. 10 weeks later I competed at about 140 lbs and was 13-14% body fat. The ways I have changed go beyond just the physical. I have never felt more beautiful and confident. My friends continue to laugh at me because I starting clapping on stage for the girl who won at competition I was in! You can’t help to be proud because you know how hard you worked and you on stage with women who have worked just as hard! I was someone who ate whatever I wanted when I wanted to! The most picky eater (mostly because I refused to try anything)! I had never had a salad before this! I have made so many changes for the better and it has paid off! My biggest challenge was trying new healthy things. Turns out, I love a lot of things I would never have tried before! I have found there is a clean way to pretty much make a version of anything you want!

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    Fitness is an outlet for so many things for me. Its something that I have complete control of. I am an extremely competitive person and every time I challenge myself I surprise myself! I have always been an athlete and taking my fitness to the next level is what I’ve wanted to do and felt was missing! I love that I’ve learned that there is a balance to fitness and there are so many components!

    What are your fitness goals?

    My fitness goals are to achieve and maintain a healthy body I am proud of. I want to continue to decrease body fat and tone. My goal is to eventually place at a show!

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    The simple fact of being and feeling healthy motivates me. When I feel good inside and out, I am more confidant, I make better choices, and its the one thing I do for me and only me. I want to live a long life in a strong, healthy body. Most of all I want to be happy.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Julie has the answers!  If you have a question about anything..suit, food, workout, competition.. Anything .. She is right there to answer, inspire, and motivate. I love that she brings all the ladies together for team meetings for sharing and learning. She surrounds you with women who have the same goals and strive for the same lifestyle as you!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    There is NOTHING!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    I LOVE protein pancakes made with Rocky Road Ultimate Muscle Protein. I look forward to eating breakfast when I know thats what I’m having!! Pancakes with chocolatey taste!! Also, clean pizza. Ground chicken, eggs, and oats for the crust, cottage cheese and veggies for toppings! YUMM!

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    The best part about this whole experience is that I’ve never felt more happy and comfortable in my skin and the fact that I did this and did this the right way makes it even better!  Push yourself hard and work for what you want and each day your own capability surprises you! The way you feel inside is the best and the outside is just a perk!!

    In 10 weeks, I have transformed my body!  I have lost 22 lbs going from 162 down to 140 and taken my bodyfat from 25% down to 13%!!!  But the changes go way beyond just the physical.  I have never felt more confident!
