    Personal Information

I am a 26 year old Registered Nurse in an ICU as well as a personal trainer who has a very energetic dog named Niko, and an amazing boyfriend named Giev.
Both of my parents were bodybuilders in the early 90’s.
I grew up in a household based on clean eating and healthy decisions.

What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

I would have to say my biggest accomplishment within the fitness world is not the trophies I have or how well I did at a show, it is how I have truly adopted this lifestyle as my own. It is very easy to do it when you have a goal, however if you are able to maintain it then that is where the true accomplishment occurs. It doesn’t matter if I have a show or not; I still train regularly and eat appropriate food to fuel my body and my workouts. Another accomplishment is inspiring others. I never realized how many people I have influenced, without trying, to start their own journey to a healthier way of living.

WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

I have been a Fitbody for about a year now. My body has change drastically, and continues to do so. However, the biggest transformation is not physical. I have completely changed my life in the past year. My outlook on exercises and proper nutrition is totally different than it was a year ago. This is how I live, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Physically I have gained lean muscle, and maintained a reasonable body fat percentage while having no show in site.

What things have most helped you make that transformation?  I don’t think there is anything specific that has helped me make the transformation besides having faith and believing in yourself. Along with being very determined, dedicated, and consistent. Consistency is a huge factor into achieving my transformation. Also the support that I received from my fellow teammates on the times when I needed it help me a lot. Some of my best friends I met through Team Fitbody.

What do you enjoy most about fitness?

Accomplishing goals that seem so difficult. Weather it be sprinting faster, jumping higher, lifting heavier, or having better glutes. The accomplishment that you feel after putting in all the hard work is very rewarding. However, I just LOVE training. I love the feeling of dripping sweat from working so hard, I love the feeling of solid iron in my hands, I love the feeling of exhaustion you feel after sprinting. I love it all. Being in the gym with my music in my ears, with just me is one of my happiest places to be.

    What are your fitness goals?

One of my fitness goals is to build a career helping others on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. Another would to be to continue to inspire others. Currently my personal goal is to put on some more muscle, and begin competing at the beginning of 2014. I will be bringing a totally different package to the stage, and I am excited about it!

What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

In my line of work I see many people who have health problems that are a direct result of poor decisions with their eating habits and lifestyle in general. That is a huge motivation for me to stay healthy. My parents are also motivation, because they are some of the healthiest people for their age that I know, and that is a direct result from taking care of one’s body, mind, and soul. As I stated previously, I genuinely love this life..and that is enough motivation to keep me going daily.

What is the best part about working with Julie?

Julie is very sincere, and genuinely a good-hearted person. She exceeds what I expect in a coach by being a mentor, friend, inspiration, and overall fantastic and beautiful woman inside and out. It has been such a blessing to work with Julie. She is honest with you in what you can achieve, gives you solid training and nutrition plans that are easy to follow in any crazy schedule, and has faith in you when you question yourself. She has put together a team of incredible women who all have a common goal.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

Throughout my year of training I have come to realize there is not such thing as ‘diet’ food. Everything I eat is just normal food that EVERYONE should eat. You can take ANYTHING and make it a better version. Pizza, hot wings, cup cakes, pancakes. I have yet to find something that I didn’t think I could make into a better version. However, I would have to say my weakness is PEANUT BUTTER. It is just SO good!

Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

You can have the best nutrition and training program, but when it comes down to it, it is you that must put in the work and make conscious decisions. Have faith in your ability to succeed, and don’t be afraid to fail and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Train with intensity.
