    am a 33 year old momma of 2 miracle babies. With each of my pregnancies I got very ill and delivered my babies at 26 weeks and 27 weeks…Being sick and seeing my kids sick made me want to live a healthier lifestyle…whether I compete or not. My top priority is to be healthy and have my kids live the happiest healthiest life possible.
    I am currently in nursing school and want to be a neonatal nurse practitioner and work with the itty bitty babies. I’ve always been interested in fitness and competing but always let fear keep me from the stage. So it’s taken me almost ten years to finally get up there.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    I FINALLY got on stage…I didn’t care about where I placed I was just proud to realize a dream.  I lost 5% bf and 6 lbs in the 12 week program!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    I didn’t lose a huge amount of weight but my body composition has definitely changed. Clothes are fitting looser…got a couple muscles bulging here and there and I love it! My daughter was such a big motivator, when I didn’t feel like going to the gym I would take her with me and she pushed me…always reminding me of the shows I want to do and how long I have been wanting to do this.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    I love feeling good…I love the feeling I get after a good workout…I love the feeling of lifting more than I did last time….

    What are your fitness goals?

    To keep competing and better myself at every show. Maybe do a Nike ad or two.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    Changes in my body and how clothes fit is definitely motivating…Waking up and feeling good and healthy is motivating…the biggest motivation is teaching my kids how to lead a healthy lifestyle…knowing that they are watching what I put in my mouth makes me want to make better decisions…
    Oh and my daughter telling me my butt is smaller and a little higher definitely makes me want to add a couple extra pounds on the squat rack! (and up her allowance lol)

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    She is the most positive supportive person I’ve ever met. Every time I came in contact with her I always left with a renewed motivation to kick butt just a little harder.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    Seriously? Lol…….uh…N-O-T-H-I-N-G!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    UMP…seriously…I wish I could get a refund on all the other protein powders that I wasted my money on lol…
