Mirabelle Reyes

    Personal Information

    I am 40 years old, and a mother to an energetic 7 year old son.  I work full time as an anesthesiologist at a local regional medical center.  Between variable, at times 24 hr work days, and motherhood, I manage to keep a life long interest in being healthy.  In grade school I was “last pick” in dodgeball, softball, and so forth, and generally didn’t do much in terms of physical activity.  It wasn’t until high school I excelled and developed a love for tennis, and although I never played in college, I remained physically active ever since.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    NPC Tricky Jackson Classic — Masters Division- First Place,  Open Class A- First Place
    Losing about 13% Body Fat in about 6 months
    Completing my first and second half-marathons (Kentucky Derby)!!!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    I was able to shed 15 lbs over 8 months.  After seeing a 5 lb weight loss, I wanted more than just weight loss and decided to focus on building muscle and losing fat (dropping percent body fat).  And to motivate myself I decided to do my first figure competition 4 months out. The biggest transformation changes I made included a strict diet with increased protein intake, and Julie’s supplement recommendations.  I also started to lift heavier weights and do less cardio.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    Fitness is being healthy inside and out.   I feel better physically and mentally in a busy and stressful  life; and I can set an example/share information with my family, friends, and patients.

    What are your fitness goals?

    Possibly compete again, but to maintain a healthy lifestyle of eating clean and exercising efficiently.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    Seeing family, friends, and patients go through medical issues that stem from lifestyle choices.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Julie has such an upbeat, positive, motivating attitude.  She also leads by example.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    She can be forthright and quick to it!

    Beverly International Ultimate Muscle Protein Pancakes are the best!

    Even busy moms & working women  can achieve great fitness.  Exercise smart and efficiently.  Eat smart and effectively.
