    Personal Information

    I am a 37 year old mother of a 18 year old daughter. I work as an International Product Specialist and have a Bachelors Degree in Finance and an MBA in International Business. After having my daughter, I worked full time and went to school and fitness was not a priority for me. After completing my undergraduate degree, I wanted to focus on my health and get back in shape. For the past 10 years I have been dedicated to eating healthier and working out consistently, even when attending grad school. After graduating from grad school, I decided I wanted to take my workouts and training to the next level and star competing in Figure. My first competition was in October 2007 and now I am competing at a National Level.

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    Losing 30 lbs. 5 years after having my daughter. While going to school for my undergraduate degree, working full time and raising a child, my eating habits were poor and my workouts were non-existent.  After graduation, I decided it was time to change my diet and get back to exercising, not only for me, but for my daughter, too. After I started my diet, I slowly started working out again and really got hooked on how good I was feeling and seeing the changes in my body.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    I love how I feel after a great workout! I also love all the amazing people you meet in the fitness industry who have similar goals and lifestyles, they all help motivate me in so many different ways.

    What are your fitness goals?

    Most importantly it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I started competing 4 years ago in figure and fell in love with it. My goal is to continuously improve my physique each time I compete. I want to go into each show better than the last and knowing that I came in the best that I can.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    I love how I feel when I am eating right and working out. My energy level is much higher and I feel much healthier. Also, all the incredible people I have met since I started competing. There are so many positive and encouraging people in this industry that help keep me going.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    There are so many things it’s hard to just list a few, but the most important is that she motivates me to do my very best and pushes me to the fullest of my capabilities. She always has such a positive and encouraging attitude.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    I have yet to find one!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    I love sweet potatoes and Ultimate Muscle Protein pancakes.
