    Personal Information

    I turned 30 and decided I wanted to get into the best shape of my life! I’ve enjoyed working out for as long as I can remember and formerly managed a gym and personal training program where my love for a healthy lifestyle only grew. I love outdoor activities such as running, biking, and skiing. I’m extremely competitive and stubborn, and when I put my mind to something, there is little anyone can do to stop me.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    I am most proud of stepping foot on stage, taking one show at a time, and making progress with each show. I am so proud of the mini muscles I have created and cannot wait to see what the next year brings. I set a goal last year of placing at the NPC NKY in 2013 and that dream came true!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    I’ve changed so much! I used to be the woman focused on the scale, worried about going over a certain number, and running an extra mile if I ate ice cream. Now, I’m focused on what I look like, the muscle I am gaining, and addicted to eating clean to get where I want to be. While the physical changes are apparent, it’s the emotional ones that have been the most dramatic. I’m more confident, outspoken, and just happier overall. It’s hard to explain, I just feel good and know that the best times are yet to come.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    I love fitness because it allows me to be competitive with myself and others, has connected me with so many like-minded and genuine individuals, and gives me a natural high that is indescribable.

    What are your fitness goals?

    I want more muscle. Lean, beautiful muscle!

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    I love the way I feel! I feel absolutely great all day long after a fun plyo workout or weight lifting session before work, and absolutely terrible if I don’t workout or consistently make bad food choices. I love seeing family and friends adapt little things that I do – packing lunch, eating more fruit, walking in the morning. Whatever it may be, if I can motivate or inspire someone in just the smallest way, I feel great and know what I am doing is worth it. I also love the beach, and being able to wear a bikini with confidence is a great feeling!

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    It’s been one of the greatest decisions of my life. Her motivation, positive attitude, and opportunities she has provided me is priceless. Not only do we work one-on-one together, where she emails me customized workouts and meal plans, nut she has helpe me connect with so many fit and healthy minded women through her Team Fitbody.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    I cannot think of any worsts!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    There are so many and most of them involve Ultimate Muscle Protein – UMP pancakes with blueberries on top. They are so simple and there are so many ways to may them. Currently I use 2 scoops of vanilla UMP, an egg, and 3 egg whites, mixed together and made into a plate sized pancake. Topped with blueberries, I feel like I am at Cracker Barrel. They are great because you are able to adjust them to include the right amount of carbs, fats, and proteins that fit your meal plan!

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    It has been over a year now since I started this journey and it has truly changed my life. I now know how to eat to fuel my body, not diet; train with a purpose, not follow a workout card; and run with a goal of transforming my body composition not my weight. It’s an investment – the time, money, and energy – but the return on investment is absolutely priceless – health, happiness, and a quality of life I never dreamed I could have.
