Erin Rhoades

    Personal Information

    I am a licensed massage therapist, certified personal trainer, and a nationally registered EMT, and what all my friends like to call nomadic. Since December of 2008 when I joined Julie’s Fitbody Team, I have been traveling back and forth between my hometown of Paducah, Ky and the Northern Ky/cincinnati area. Yep, that’s a 10 hour roundtrip, but well worth every minute and mile. I quickly found myself addicted to the girls I met through Fitbody and competing…I’ll make it up there one day to stay 😉 Until then I’ll just be a “nomad”.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    My first greatest accomplishment was stepping on stage after dieting for 25 weeks. See, I yo-yo dieted all my life with my top weight reaching 211lbs. When I started with Jules in 2008 I was 180 and when I stepped on stage I weighed 148 and was around 9% bodyfat. Since then I competed several more times and loved it!  My story was printed in Oxygen and Beverly’s No Nonsense, and I’m the model for buffchicks clothing line.  All that was pretty cool 😉

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    growing stronger physically and mentally, lifting weights I never thought would be possible. Also, meeting like minded people that share the love of health and have the same struggles that I do.

    What are your fitness goals?

    I want to get stronger. To me that’s the funnest (ITS a WORD) part about training.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    he women and men that I have met through this sport. They all amaze me with things they overcome and I want to inspire others which in return gives me motivation to keep pushing.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…she’s one of my earthly angels. I’ve never seen someone with so much to be proud of, be so humble. Her idea of her girls winning, are the hours and dedication put in and the end result. Its not winning first place at a competition, its just reaching the goal of being the best you you can be. You will never find a more caring and supportive trainer…EVER!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    My farm fresh egg cooked over medium and oatmeal.

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    I’m not perfect. I like cupcakes and candy, mexican and pizza. Being healthy and changing your life isn’t all about nonstop exercise and miserable dieting. It’s about finding a balance that works for you and in the mean time finding the point that you accept yourself. When every time you look in the mirror you don’t always pick your flaws but can say “wow, look what I’ve done. Are my shoulders bigger than yesterday? (lol that one might just be me)” It’s about being the best you, you can be. AND I love Julie Lohre and the Fitbody Team!
