    Personal Information

    Since college I have been into exercising…but it’s only been the past couple of years that I have really gotten interested in and learned about the key role of nutrition.  After college, I started working in the healthcare industry and day to day it has just continued to reinforce just how much exercise and balanced nutrition can positively impact your overall life!  Between my own personal experiences and the stories that others have generously shared with me I am super motivated to continue learning about how to live this healthy lifestyle and be in it for the long haul;)!  I also LOVE sharing what I learn with family and friends and truly believe that motivating and supporting the ones you love to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle pays dividends!  I definitely don’t think it’s ALWAYS easy making healthy choices so I feel truly blessed to have the mutual support from my fiancé, family members and friends to make those healthy choices!

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    My initial thought was to name my best placement in a show or to share the drop in my body fat percentage since training on Team Fitbody, but I have to honestly say my greatest fitness accomplishment has been learning how to train, be on top of my nutrition and compete in a truly healthy and sustainable way!   The knowledge I have gotten from Julie is what has been the true “root cause” of any other accomplishment so I think it deservedly “takes the cake” for my greatest fitness accomplishment thus far!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    I have dropped about 9-10% body fat and gained muscle over the span of 3-4 months. The first thing I think that helped with my transformation was eating 6-8 times a day, every 3 hours or so because I never felt hungry or starved. Another thing that helped was pushing myself to lift heavier. Between those two things I felt like I struck a good balance of fueling my body and pushing it to do more!

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    I love going to the gym and crushing a workout that may have crushed you just a few weeks before! I love (and hate) the mental rush of knowing you’re not done and you’ve got one more set….and of course (this is a given) I love seeing the physical changes your body makes because you know that they represent the hard work you’ve put in along the way!

    What are your fitness goals?

    My fitness goals are to continue to compete in bikini, but with every show to bring a leaner, stronger, better overall package. Additionally, I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle between competition seasons.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    The positivity and confidence I get from knowing that I’m taking care of my body and working to reach my full physical and mental potential as an athlete.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    The best part about working with Julie is that her positivity is absolutely contagious and she will never lead you astray or down an unhealthy path. Working with her means that you will not only reach your goals, but you can rest assured that you will do so in a healthy, sustainable manner! Another awesome thing is that she is great about getting you timely feedback/guidance if/when you have questions so you never feel alone on your journey!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    The worst part about working with Julie is honestly that you just don’t want to let her down. This has nothing to do with being “afraid” to let her down, because she is one of the most genuinely kind people you’ll ever meet; but rather, you don’t want to let her down because you know she has fully invested 110% in you, your progress and helping you reach your own personal goals.
