    Personal Information

    I am a 37- year, a wife and mother of 3 beautiful boys. I am a Certified Russian Kettlebell (RKC) Instructor, Battling Ropes Coach and TRX trainer with 10 years experience in the health & fitness industry.  I was previously overweight most of my life. Diagnosed with arthritis at age 6 along with spinal stenosis and battling with chronic pain made it difficult to work out.  I used food as comfort. I finally took charge of my life, changed my eating habits and starting working out in my mid-20’s. I completely changed my body by eating healthy, working out along with implementing Z-health.  At 37 I feel, move, and look better than in my teens & 20’s.

    This past year has presented me with its ups and downs.  I underwent surgery twice this year having arthroscopic knee surgery on both knees secondary to cartilage damage from arthritis. I began training with focus, dedication and a commitment to enter in the Fresno classic bikini competition.  I currently write the Fitness section for HiS – The Central Valley Men’s Magazine.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    Walking on stage at the Fresno Classic Bikini Competition and feeling great doing it.  I never thought I would ever wear a bikini.  I felt comfortable, classy sexy, like a Victoria Secret Model.

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    I have changed over 12 years.  At first it was slow and steady and then I went from overweight to chubby to fit.  I never looked back. I always have a health & fitness goal so I never go backwards just forward.  Julie helped me take my fit figure to Competition level.  I love the bottom she helped develop on me.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    It makes me feel strong and beautiful.  I feel like I can do anything (and usually try)!  It’s so empowering to control physically changing your body.

    What are your fitness goals?

    I would like to continue to look the way I did when I walked on stage for the Fresno Classic competition but even BETTER!

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    Never wanting to be overweight again. I suffer from migraines, IBS, spinal stenosis, & arthritis. My joints ached even more when I have extra weight on me.  I want to feel great and inspire other women to take control over their happiness, health and fitness.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Julie is extremely motivating.   She takes the time to answer all your questions and she is available when needed.  Her plans are easy to understand and execute.  If you trust her and follow her plan you will look amazing!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    She doesn’t live in California.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    Brussels sprouts sautéed in a little olive oil. They are fantastic if you are in need of a crunch!  I cut them up like shredded hash browns and cook them until they are a little crunchy and brown (mine usually look a little burnt).  Use them as salad toppers or as your side dish with your eggs in the am or meat in the pm.  You will feel like you are cheating.
