    Personal Information

    I am a 34 year old mother of 2, a college student, and a full time employee for the Timken Company. I love playing coed softball for my church league. My father is the pitcher, my brother is the coach and I am the catcher. I love getting involved with my family and keeping my children active as well.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    I really want to continue working with Julie and build more muscle. I was always the skinny fat girl and never really understood being fit until now.  The scale was so important to me in the past and now it’s seeing definition and being healthy. I would like to work harder and build more muscle in my upper body and gain more confidence in myself.

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    I started working with Julie in November around Thanksgiving. Julie prepared a meal and fitness plan that worked really well for me. After explaining to Julie my past experiences and how awful my last experience was with a trainer she asked me to be a part of her team and she would work with me to meet my fitness goals. She was so humble and really cared about me.  I was not going to let her down or myself. I made a commitment to be healthy and a fit mother.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    The way I feel and how strong I am. I never imagined I could have upper body strength as this is my weakness.  I have scoliosis and was seeing the chiropractor several times a week for pain. I have not had any back pain since I have been lifting and getting in shape.

    What are your fitness goals?

    To go past my comfort zone and really start pushing my body hard. I feel so strong and I am ready to work harder.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    The FITBODY Team really helped motivate me.  I am insecure at times and have little confidence in myself. I almost gave up and did not compete. The girls and Julie motivated me to stay strong and not compare myself to everyone else but how hard I have worked and my goals. I went for it and even though I didn’t place, I was proud of myself. My children were proud of me and my family.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    She is beautiful inside and out, honest, and really cares about us. She is a role model for me because she lives a healthy life 24/7 and she is a mother.  She was by my side the whole time.  Her husband and her are both awesome people and I will never train with anyone else. I drive a total of 8 hours for her meetings and it’s so worth it.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    The distance between us but I work through it.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    Taco salad with plain Greek yogurt and salsa. Love it! I never used yogurt as sour cream until I met Julie. My boys use it now on their tacos.

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    I competed in a small competition last year and it was awful.  The whole experience was miserable. My trainers that suggested I do a show gave me a meal plan and it was the same food every day and very low in calories. 5 weeks before the show they decided to stop training me. Heartbroken, no posing experience, and I lost a close friend; I thought “You are not giving up”. I decided to try again with a real trainer who cares about me. I read about Julie in Beverly International Magazine and how Kyla Johnson went through a similar experience.  I contacted Julie and was amazed at the food plan.  I can eat all of this??  I can substitute? I enjoyed the whole experience and lost 10 pounds!  I tried to get those 10 pounds off for a year before working with Julie. Another secret that I don’t like to admit but I’m proud of it is the fact I was a closet smoker and this was my secret. I never smoked in front of anyone as I was ashamed. This fit mom who eats so well and enjoys working out smokes???  Come on!!!   1 week after working with Julie I quit. I decided I was playing the whole part. No more lies to myself. I will be a fit mom 100 percent. I went to the doctor for a cold and he said to me “You lost 10 pounds and quit smoking???” Unbelievable Christine!!  So even though I didn’t place and yes I have a lot to work on.  I quit smoking, I feel stronger, and I met some of the greatest girls I have ever met. Real woman who understand and a real trainer who’s best interest was me.

    Working with Julie
