    Volunteer Teacher’s Aide and Strength Training Coach at Chancey Elementary.  (full time employment is typically management) Mother to one daughter, Kendall, 8 y ears old.  

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    Becoming an NPC athlete!!  4-5 years ago I said I wanted to compete and look like the pros!  I never thought I would have the guts to stand on a stage in a little bitty bikini!  
    Now I have people asking ME to help them to the same thing.  It’s so surreal!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    What’s changed the most for me is adding muscle to my body.  I have always been about 10 pounds over my ideal weight, which is not much.  I have been able to take away those 10 pounds of fat and more!  The crazy thought is I weigh the same today as I did 5 years ago.  The difference is how I look!!  The added muscle minus the fat is amazing to me.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    The stress relief associated with exercise.  Also the extra mood pump when you accomplish a training goal is phenomenal!!

    What are your fitness goals?

    Learn different types of strength training, such as olympic style lifts, kettlebell strength training, and rope training.  The more I learn the more balanced I become in my overall approach to fitness.  This year it is my goal to compete as an NPC athlete on the National Level.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    The energy and power being active gives me.  A sharp mind also comes along when you exercise! It helps build drive and determination.  Of course, the health benefits to your heart cannot be overlooked!

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    All of it!!   Hiring Julie as a trainer was the best decision for my fitness goals I have ever made!  Her support is incredible.  She accepts your input and listens to what your needs are before she responds.  That is a rare quality!!  When she says she is a women’s fitness expert…She is! From what powers the mind, to the foods needed to power your body.  She knows her craft!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    We are our own worst enemy.  Julie knows that.  She can only help me if I reach out to her with issues.  Whenever  I have done that, she has been right there for me with answers or just a listening ear.  There are no worst parts to working with her!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

     I am addicted to vanilla whey protein mixed to a pudding with almond butter and sliced strawberries!
