    Personal Information

    I am a 32 year old stay at home mother of 3.  I hope to earn a certification in personal training in the future.  I participated in gymnastics when I was a young girl and I love yoga!  I also love reading!

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    Competing in the KY Muscle

    My journey started three years ago.  When I was 5 months pregnant with my third child, I was told news that no mother wants to hear.  “There is a problem with your baby’s kidneys, and you have to be prepared.  There is a possibility her kidneys may shut down after birth.”  Feeling helpless about the future of my child, I comforted myself with food and the scale crept up to 180 lbs.  Fortunately, my daughter is a happy and healthy 3 year old today!  About three months later, I remember seeing a picture of myself at a family gathering and I was shocked at how I had let myself go and how unhappy I looked.  I decided then to take action and improve my health for the sake of my children.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    For me, fitness is about feeling good about myself, and being healthy.  I enjoy pushing myself to new limits and learning how amazing and strong the human body is.  It’s such a great stress relief and I know that makes me a better mom!

    What are your fitness goals?

    My fitness goals are to continue working with Julie and to build muscle while maintaining leanness.  I would love to compete in a figure competition in the future!

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    I want to teach my children and others around me to have good eating and lifestyle habits.  I feel great, I am in the best shape of my life, and I want others to know nothing is impossible!!

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Julie is very encouraging and has kept me informed about the changes that will happen in my body, and has made me feel prepared about competing in my first show.  Thanks to Julie, I have a good idea about what to expect on competition day!  I also love that she puts together a workout specifically for you, not just a general handout.  She takes the time to tailor it specifically for what your body needs!  She has a great eye for detail!!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    I haven’t found one!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    Vanilla UMP with 1 tbsp natural peanut butter, mixed with a little hot coffee, and topped with fat free cool whip
