    Personal Information

I am a 58 year old mother of 2 girls and 1 granddaughter with another one on the way.

I am an Administrative Assistant to a Vice President for a major manufacturing corporation.   I pitched slow pitch softball for over 20 years and actually had the opportunity to play on teams with both my girls before finally putting away the softball gloves.

What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

My greatest fitness accomplishment to date has been to enter my first show May 1st and winning the over 50 Masters Division, the Ms Figure, Masters Division, Grand Champion and 2nd place in the Novice Division.

WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

Five years ago I was 30 pounds heavier.  I decided a year ago I wanted to get in better shape and at the suggestion of my trainer, we set a goal to prepare for a figure contest.  Family support is critical when going through the training process. My husband, who is my biggest cheerleader, has been instrumental in preparing all of my meals leading up to the contest!

What do you enjoy most about fitness?

The thing I find the most fascinating about this fitness journey is the dedication and discipline it takes to reach your goal.  Weight training and exercise have become an addiction.  I love it!  I didn’t realize there are so many different ways to exercise your body parts!

    What are your fitness goals?

My fitness goals are to continue working hard to improve on areas of weakness identified during the first competition and to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

One day my grandchildren will be able to see that it’s never to late to embark on a new and exciting journey, no matter what your age.

What is the best part about working with Julie?

I was searching online for some competition tips and ran across Julie’s website.  I contacted her and she responded right away.  She listened.  She asked me my goals and what I was trying to accomplish.  She immediately sent me training routines, diet and supplement suggestions as I progressed through the 12 weeks before the competition. Any questions I had she answered them right away. No question was too small or insignificant.

What is the worst part about working with Julie?

The worst part about working with Julie is that I have not had the opportunity to meet her in person.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

UMP and the variety of ways it can be used:  shakes, pancakes, muffins, and goo…..love it.

One day my grandchildren will be able to see that it’s never to late to embark on a new and exciting journey, no matter what your age.
